Breakout Session #2A: “Reading the Old Testament in Its Ancient Near Eastern Context” by Steve Andrews
Summary: In this session Dr. Andrews provides a helpful background to the historical and cultural context in which the Hebrews authors wrote the Old Testament Scriptures. Dr. Andrews provides some helpful contextual overview as well as a specific case study with the aim of showing how and why study of the ANE background helps us understand the Old Testament Text.
