As we lead up to our second Lead U Conference (For the Life of the Church: Christianity and Cultural Engagement, April 27-28), we are sharing links to the presentations from our first conference last fall, Christianity and the Death of the Old Testament. Below is a brief summary of this week’s featured presentation with a link to the video. We hope you will join us on April 27-28 for our second conference!
Main Session #5: “The Old Testament and the Mission of God” by J. Daniel Hays
Summary: In this fifth and final main session of the conference, Dr. Hays explores God’s mission to bring redemption to all nations through Abraham’s offspring. As a part of exploring this key theme in the Scriptures, Dr. Hays also shows how this mission is tied closely with God’s desire to dwell with His people. Consequently, Dr. Hays explores the theme of God’s presence with His people in the Garden, the Tabernacle, the Temple, Jesus, the Church, and the New Jerusalem.
